Healing for the Body, Mind, Emotion, and Spirit

Here are my recipes for Monday, Week 1 of QHN’s Detox Diet, based on Phase I of Dr. Mark Hyman’s UltraMetabolism Diet.
Remember:  There is no limit on how much you eat, as long as you stick to what’s on the menu.

Upon waking:
Probiotics with 8 oz. water

Breakfast:
Whole-grain oatmeal
Soy milk or almond milk
Cinnamon
Vanilla
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
1/2 large apple, diced
1 tbsp. walnuts
8 oz. water
Green tea with white tea from Celestial Seasonings

Snack:
8 oz. water
Almonds, 12
1/2 large apple

Lunch:
White Bean on a Bed of Greens – p. 256 in UltraMetabolism (2 servings), including
2 cups drained canned white beans
3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 clove garlic, pressed
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
pinch sea salt
Dash freshly ground black pepper
4 cups fresh mixed baby greens
Water, 8 oz.

Snack:
Water, 8 oz.
Banana
Sunflower seeds, 1 tbsp.

Dinner:
Wild Salmon
Small red potatoes
Chef Salad: romaine lettuce, baby mixed greens, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, sliced black olives, Celtic salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar dressing
Water, 8 oz.

Supplements:  Garden of Life Raw Vitamin Code Multi “For 50 and Wiser Women”, Juice Plus (Garden Blend, Orchard Blend, and Vineyard Blends), Iodine
